Research Implementation in Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health
Overview
Research Implementation in Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASRH 01) is programme designed for regions where adolescents face heightened vulnerabilities related to early pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), HIV, gender-based violence (GBV), and limited access to youth-friendly health services. The programme aims to equip professionals with the skills required to generate high-quality data, support evidence-based decision-making, and scale effective ASRH interventions that promote adolescent well-being and reproductive rights. Advanced research implementation capacity is required for effective interventions in ASRH to enhance policies, programmes, and services.
This course focuses on strengthening participants’ ability to translate research into actionable strategies to promote adolescent health outcomes. Participants will gain skills in research implementation methodologies, programme design, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and evidence-based policy development within the context of ASRH.
Our facilitators will explore key concepts in research implementation science, operational research, ethical considerations in adolescent research, and participatory research approaches involving young adults. The course is aligned to international frameworks including and not limited to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s and Adolescents’ Health, and WHO guidelines on adolescent health services.
